My Mom used to make this cake at least once a week when we were growing up. It is just as easy as a store bought cake mix. It is so easy that I still make it at least once a month.

Ingredients For wackey cake

  • 1 1/3 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    vinegar

How To Make wackey cake

    Preheat oven to 350 I like to sift all the dry ingredients together. Then add the wet ingredients and mix till well combined. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 pan.

    Bake for 20-25 minutes Check with a toothpick to make sure it comes out clean. If you double the recipe bake for about 1 hour. Check at 50 min.
