My good friend from Arkansas shared this with me years ago (we won't say how many years ago)! This is an unusual, quick and easy recipe, but delicious!

Ingredients For vanilla wafer cake

  • 2 stick

  • 12 oz
    package vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 2 c
  • 1 c
    pecans, in pieces
  • 7 oz
    coconut, flaked
  • 1/2 c
    evaporated milk

How To Make vanilla wafer cake

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.

    Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one.

    Add vanila wafers and milk. Stir in coconut and pecans.
  • 4
    Pourinto the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool before turning out onto a cake plate. Delicious served with whipped cream and decorated with a maraschino cherry on top! Dust with a few chopped pecans.
