Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk

How To Make vanilla frosting

  • Step 1
    Combine shortening, salt, vanilla and about on-third of the sugar.
  • Step 2
    Add milk and remaining sugar alternately, mixing until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin frosting, if required, until of spreading consistency.
