This was the cake Grandma W made for my Grandpa, it was hands down his favorite. I made a version of this in camp (recipe is in JAP) and it is always a favorite just like this cake always was for Grandpa.

Ingredients For upside down pineapple cake, grandma w's

  • 1
    pilsbury cake mix, yellow
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/3 c
    oil, scant
  • 1 c
    minus 2 t pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c
    oleo
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 can
    pineapple, drained

How To Make upside down pineapple cake, grandma w's

  • 1
    Make topping from mixture of oleo, brown sugar and pineapple. Use juice from pineapple to combine with remaining ingredients. Put topping in bottom of 9x13. Top with cake mixture and cook to package directions.
