never fail easy apple spice cake

The original recipe for this super moist and dense cake called for 2 eggs. I was making it from memory one day and forgot the eggs!! Everyone liked it better than the original. I have not added eggs since!!!...It's great warm from the oven with vanilla ice cream....also low in fat!!!.....You can add more nuts to make it crunchier......Enjoy .....Since my original posting I have started using eggs again because it makes servings a bit larger..1 whole egg and 1 egg white.

Ingredients

  • 1 can sugar free apple pie filling (or regular pie filling) i use a scissors and chop the apples into smaller pieces while still in the can.
  • 1 box spice cake mix(i use duncan heinz)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or your favorite nut)
  • 1 or 2 - eggs(if you prefer, whites only)

How To Make never fail easy apple spice cake

  • Step 1
    place all ingredients in large mixing bowl.
  • Step 2
    mix by hand with wooden spoon until well blended. mixture will be very thick.
  • Step 3
    place evenly in bundt pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Step 4
    bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. when cool enough to handle, care fully turn out onto rack . I usually place it in a covered cake keeper while still a bit warm to keep it very moist.
