Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 can fruit cocktail
- 4 - eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 1/3 cups coconut, shredded divided
- 1 box instant lemon pudding mix
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup pecans chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
How To Make ugly duckling cake

Step 1preheat oven to 325. grease and flour 9x13 inch pan.

Step 2In mixer bowl, combine cake mix, fruit cocktail, eggs, oil, 1 cup of coconut and pudding. Beat well with mixer for 4 minutes and pour into prepared pan. Mix together pecans and brown sugar and sprinkle over batter.

Step 3Bake in 325 degree oven for 45 minutes. While cake is baking, combine butter, sugar and evaporated milk in small pan. Cook until boiling and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add remaining 1 1/3 cup coconut.

Step 4Remove cake from oven and spoon mixture over hot cake. Allow cake to cool some before serving. Cake can be served warm or cold.
