Ingredients
- - yellow cake mix
- FROSTING
- 10 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup margarine
How To Make twinkie cake

Step 1Bake yellow cake in 2 8" round pans or 3 9" pans - greased. Bake @ 350 degrees for 17 - 20 minutes, or till toothpick comes out clean.

Step 2Frosting: in saucepan on stove, low to medium heat, cook flour and milk, stirring constantly till thick (alternate flour and milk when adding to avoid clumping). Let cool (or put in freezer while making other part of frosting). Using electric mixer, beat sugar, shortening, margarine, salt, and vanilla, about 15 minutes till sugar is no longer grainy or crunchy. Blend in cooked cooled mixture. Frost cooled cakes.
