This is one of my adopted recipes. I haven't made it yet, but when I do, I will add comments. It sounds good , doesn't it? I may have to try adding some lavender to it to make it "Provence" cheesecake. ??????????

  • 3 lb
    ricotta cheese
  • 8
    eggs
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2
    oranges, grated zest only
  • 2
    lemons, grated zest only
  • 2 2/3 oz
    orange liqueur
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter, clarified
  • 1/4 c
    bread crumbs

How to Make Tuscan Cheesecake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Beat ricotta cheese with blender until smooth.
  3. Add eggs, sugar and milk.
  4. Blend until well-mixed and smooth.
  5. Add orange and lemon zest and orange liqueur. Mix well.
  6. Grease one cheesecake pan with butter and coat lightly with bread crumbs.
  7. Fill pan 3/4 of the way with cheesecake mixture.
  8. Set pan in a larger pan filled half full with water and bake 1-1/4 hours.
  9. Turn oven off, leaving the cake within.
  10. Let stand for one hour.
  11. Remove, let cool and refrigerate.
