Everyone loves these Brownies. Had the recipe a long time but don't know where it originated from.

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box
    chocolate instant pudding
  • 1 c
    melted butter
  • 1 c
    evaporated milk divided into 1/2 cup each
  • 1 c
    caramels
  • 1 c
    semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans toasted

How to Make Turtle Brownies

Step-by-Step

  1. In a bowl, combine cake mix, dry pudding, melted butter, and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Mix well. Press 1/2 of mixture in a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 12 minutes. Meanwhile in a non stick pan melt caramels and remaining evaporated milk stirring constantly. Spread caramel mixture over baked layer. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Drop the remaining batter by teaspoon over the Brownies. Bake at 25-30 minutes or until the top is set. Makes 24 Brownies.
