turmeric cake - sfoof
This is a Lebanese (Middle Eastern) cake-like dessert. Easy and delicious. Originally Sfoof is made with semolina but this is an easier version and for me, a much tastier one. Give it a try!

Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 2 teaspoons ground aniseed
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- 3/4 teaspoon orange blossom water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons tahini paste
How To Make turmeric cake - sfoof

Step 1-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. -Grease an 11 inch pan with tahini paste. -Mix all ingredients together, leaving the sesame seeds aside. -Pour the mixture in the baking pan, then sprinkle the top with the sesame seeds. -Bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
