20oz. crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
1 pkg
yellow cake mix (2 layer)
1 pkg
jello lemon instant pudding (3.4oz)
1 1/2 c
cold milk
2 c
cool whip
1/2 c
coconut, toasted
1/2 c
pecans, chopped

How to Make Tropical Dream Cake


  • 1Heat oven to 350. Drain pineapple, reserving 1 cup juice. Prepare cake batter as directed on package, substituting reserved juice for 1 cup of water. Pour into greased 15x10x1 inch pan.
  • 2Bake 15-18 minutes. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • 3Beat pudding mix and milk with whisk 2 min. Stir in pineapple. Spread over cake; cover with cool whip. Top with coconut and nuts. Keep refrigerated.
  • 4You can sub the lemon pudding with vanilla or french vanilla; all are good.
