- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 3/4 cup milk, buttermilk works well
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In your mixer combine all ingredients until smooth and creamy. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan. Bake for approximately 50-55 minutes, or until cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Great alone, or add berries and whipped cream!
