Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

2 c
sifted flour
2 c
sugar
1 stick
margarine or butter
1 c
water
1 c
butter milk
1 tsp
soda
1 tsp
vanilla
2
unbeaten eggs
1/2 c
crisco

How to Make Tricia"s Chocalate Chewy Cake !!!!

Step-by-Step

  • 11 sift together
    2 cups flour
    2 cups sugar set aside
  • 2Bring to a boil
    1 stick margarine or butter
    1/2 cup Crisco
    1 cup water
    pour over flour sugar mixture after boiled
  • 3Mix together
    1 cup butter milk
    1tsp soda
    1 tsp vanilla
    add to above mixture
    add 2 unbeaten eggs
    mix well
  • 4Pour in greased 11x18 pan
    bake
    400deg - 20 min
  • 5Icing
    1 stick oleo 4 Teaspoons cocoa, 6 teaspoons butter milk.
    Bring to boil
    Remove from heat add 1 box sifted powder sugar.
    1 1/2 cups pecans
    Try to finish making Icing just as cake is done leave in pan ice as soon as cake is taken out of oven
