1 box white cake mix(bake as directed)
- fresh strawberries (optional)
- fresh blueberries (optional)
1 - tub cool whip
SOAKING LIQUID
1/2 cup condensed milk
2 cups milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 - lime (zested)

How To Make tres leches cake

Step 1

First, bake cake as directed on box

Step 2

SOAKING LIQUID pour all of the ingredients into a medium size pot and bring to a boil.
Step 3

When cake is done poke holes all around cake. Pour the milk mixture over cake and let cool and absorb.
Step 4

Top with cool whip and berries! Enjoy! :) (It tastes better the next day after being left in the fridge because the mixture is cold!) Makes a nice summer desert! :)
