These cupcakes have been made for school lunches, picnics, and showers. They really are wonderful.

4 oz. chocolate chips
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour

How to Make Traveling Cupcakes


  • 1In a large saucepan, melt butter. Add chips, stirring constantly.
  • 2When the chips have melted, add the pecans and sugar.
    Mix until blended.
  • 3Take off heat and add the 4 eggs, vanilla, and flour.
    Mix, do not beat.
  • 4Divide into 12 paper lined cupcake holders.
  • 5Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. No frosting needed.
