How to Make Traditional Pound Cake
- Beat cream cheese, butter and margarine together for 3 minutes in an extra large mixing bowl. Add flavoring.
- Mix flour and sugar in another bowl. Add 1/2 cup flour mixture to butter mixture and beat thoroughly. Add 1 egg and beat thoroughly again. Continue adding alternatley 1/2 cup flour mixture and 1 egg until all have been mixed. Mixture will be stiff.
- Pour mixture into a well greased and floured tube pan. Place in a cold oven and set oven temp to 325 degrees. Bake for 1 hour before opening the door to check for doneness.
