This is a favorite traditional Filipino torta recipe baked during holidays and special occasions. These little cakes are so good, it's difficult to just have one.

Ingredients For torta

  • 8 lg
    eggyolks
  • 2 c
    self-rising flour
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make torta

  • 1
    Cream oil & sugar.
  • 2
    Add eggs and beat until creamy.
  • 3
    Add flour alternately with milk then add vanilla.
  • 4
    Line muffin tins with muffin cups and bake for 20-25 min at 350 degrees (pre-heated oven)

    Let the muffins cool completely and roll tops on sugar

    Note: The tins I used are traditional muffin tins used for this recipe which can be purchased from Oriental stores.
