topsy turvy cupcakes
These are simple to make and such a surprise when you bite into them. I made them the first time for my son's 5th birthday party. That was 25 years ago! They are always a huge hit and the best part...no frosting required.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 medium egg
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- BEAT TOGETHER CREAM CHEESE, SUGAR, EGG AND SALT. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS, SET ASIDE.
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
How To Make topsy turvy cupcakes

Step 1Combine second set of ingredients: flour, cocoa, salt, oil, vanilla, sugar, baking soda, water and vinegar in a separate bowl. Fill paper lined muffin tins 2/3 full with cocoa mixture. Top each with a spoonful of cream cheese mixture.

Step 2Bake @ 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. DO NOT FROST
