1 lb
pound cake, stale
3 Tbsp
jam, any flavor
whiskey
5 oz
sherry
1 pt
warm custard
10 oz
whipped topping

How to Make Tipsy Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Break up the cake or cakes and gently mix the jam through -- the mixture does not have to be completely even.
  • 2Place in a glass bowl.
  • 3Mix sherry and whiskey and sprinkle over cake.
  • 4Press down lightly.
  • 5Pour custard over the cake, and chill.
  • 6Then spoon whipped cream over top and serve.
