Ingredients

  • 1 pound pound cake, stale
  • 3 tablespoons jam, any flavor
  • - whiskey
  • 5 ounces sherry
  • 1 pint warm custard
  • 10 ounces whipped topping

How To Make tipsy cake

  • Step 1
    Break up the cake or cakes and gently mix the jam through -- the mixture does not have to be completely even.
  • Step 2
    Place in a glass bowl.
  • Step 3
    Mix sherry and whiskey and sprinkle over cake.
  • Step 4
    Press down lightly.
  • Step 5
    Pour custard over the cake, and chill.
  • Step 6
    Then spoon whipped cream over top and serve.
