Not being from the South it took me some time to get acquainted with the lovely thing called Ooey Gooey Bars! My favorite is lemon but I have used Caramel cake mix and got rave reviews! I have added mini-chocolate chips to the cream cheese mixture when I make it with Chocolate cake mix....oh, the possibilities are totally endless. If you like to "Play with your Food" this the one of the best recipes to play around with.....ENJOY!

Ingredients

1 - box of lemon cake mix
1/2 cup `butter, melted
3 - eggs
8 ounces cream cheese, room temp.
1 pound powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make tina's ooey gooey lemon bars

Step 1

In a bowl mix the dry cake mix, 1 egg and melted butter. Press into greased 9x13 inch pan

Step 2

Beat the cream cheese, add 2 eggs, vanilla and powdered sugar. Pour over cake mix mixture.
Step 3

Bake 350 degrees for 35 -45 minutes. Coo and dust with additional powdered sugar if desired
