that's the spice! cake
This is a quick way to whip up a spice cake for family and friends. I use 1 cup of apple sauce and 1/2 cup homemade apple butter. The apple butter gives the cake a richer spice taste.

How To Make that's the spice! cake
-
Step 1Place a rack in the center of the oven, and preheat the oven to 350 degrees G Grease a Bundt pan with vegetable oil and dust the pan with flour. Shake the excess flour from the pan, and set it aside.
-
Step 2Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and blend with an electric mixer on low speed until the ingredients are just combined, 30 seconds. Increase the mixer speed to medium and beat until smooth, 1 to 1½ minutes. With a rubber spatula, scrape down the sides of the bowl. Pour the batter into the pan, and place the pan in the oven.
-
Step 3Bake the cake until the top springs back when lightly pressed with a finger, 40 to 45 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven to cool 15 minutes. Run a knife around the edges of the pan, shake the pan gently to loosen the cake, and invert onto a rack to cool.
-
Step 4After cake has cooled, sift a bit of confectioners’ sugar over the top
