1/2 cbutter or margarine
1 cblack molasses
1/2 cboiling water
2 cself-rising flour
1 tspground ginger
How to Make Syrup (Molasses Cake) Pudding
- Spray cake pan with pam.(8x8, 9x9, 9x12) Set pan aside until needed.
- Mix together all dry ingredients. Set bowl aside.
- Mix all wet ingredients together. Add dry ingredients slowly, mixing together slowly on 1st speed of mixer, after about a minute move up to medium speed for about another minute.
- Pour batter into pan
- Preheat oven to 325 or 350 degrees depending if the pan is coated with dark or light colored pan. Bake and check doness by inserting a wooden toothpick and it comes out clean.
