Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 20oz can(s)
    crushed pineapple - undrained
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts (or pecans)
  • CREAM CHEESE ICING

  • 1 8oz pkg
    cream cheese - softened
  • 1 stick
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    chopped walnuts (or pecans)
  • 3/4 c
    sugar

How to Make Swedish Pineapple Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix ingredients by hand in order given.
  2. Pour into an ungreased and unfloured 9 x 13 baking pan.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.
  4. For Cream Cheese Icing:
    Combine and beat well with mixer until smooth.
  5. Spread on hot cake, fresh from the oven.
  6. Refrigerate leftovers.
