Ingredients

2 c
sugar
2 c
all purpose flour
1 20oz can(s)
crushed pineapple - undrained
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/2 c
chopped walnuts (or pecans)

CREAM CHEESE ICING

1 8oz pkg
cream cheese - softened
1 stick
butter, softened
3/4 c
chopped walnuts (or pecans)
3/4 c
sugar

How to Make Swedish Pineapple Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix ingredients by hand in order given.
  • 2Pour into an ungreased and unfloured 9 x 13 baking pan.
  • 3Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.
  • 4For Cream Cheese Icing:
    Combine and beat well with mixer until smooth.
  • 5Spread on hot cake, fresh from the oven.
  • 6Refrigerate leftovers.
