This receipe was posted in a newspaper insert by Lucky Leaf Pie Filling recently. So I made it yesterday - and will make it again and again, next time try with peaches. A definite favorite in this house

  • PAN PREP
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • CAKE BATTER
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 - eggs beaten
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 - 21 oz can lucky leaf premium apple pie filling
  • OPTIONAL GLAZE
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice

How To Make sugar dusted apple bundt cake

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan or bundt cake pan.
  • Step 3
In a small bowl mix together 2 TBSP sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle bottom and sides of pan
  • Step 4
Combine flour, salt, baking powder and 2 cups sugar in a large bowl. ( I combined with a whisk)
  • Step 5
Combine oil, eggs, orange juice and vanilla in a separate bowl (again I used a whisk) (My change in instructions)
  • Step 6
Combine steps 4 and 5, mixing well. Then add the Apple pie filling (I think this would be good with peach pie filling or any other you might like) Stir well
  • Step 7
Pour batter evenly into the prepared pan
  • Step 8
Bake uncovered for 1 hour, let cool 15 minutes. Invert onto serving plate and cool. Drizzle with citrus glaze, or powdered sugar, if desired
  • Step 9
OPTIONAL GLAZE: Medium bowl, beat 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon orange juice for 1 minute or until smooth. Add additional juice by tsp if needed for consistency
