This receipe was posted in a newspaper insert by Lucky Leaf Pie Filling recently. So I made it yesterday - and will make it again and again, next time try with peaches. A definite favorite in this house

How to Make Sugar Dusted Apple Bundt Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan or bundt cake pan.
  3. In a small bowl mix together 2 TBSP sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle bottom and sides of pan
  4. Combine flour, salt, baking powder and 2 cups sugar in a large bowl. ( I combined with a whisk)
  5. Combine oil, eggs, orange juice and vanilla in a separate bowl (again I used a whisk) (My change in instructions)
  6. Combine steps 4 and 5, mixing well. Then add the Apple pie filling (I think this would be good with peach pie filling or any other you might like) Stir well
  7. Pour batter evenly into the prepared pan
  8. Bake uncovered for 1 hour, let cool 15 minutes. Invert onto serving plate and cool. Drizzle with citrus glaze, or powdered sugar, if desired
  9. OPTIONAL GLAZE: Medium bowl, beat 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon orange juice for 1 minute or until smooth. Add additional juice by tsp if needed for consistency
