During strawberry season one year, we had an over-abundance crop. This is one of the recipes that just "cropped" up. Of course, you don't have to wait for the season to come around again, there are other berries that can be used: blueberries, blackberries, etc.
1*Do not grease and/or flour baking dish. Preheat oven to 325. In 9x13 baking dish, arrange mini marshmallows evenly on bottom, next sprinkle dry jello evenly over marhmallows, arrange sliced strawberries of jello, set aside.
2Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour cake mix over ingredients in baking dish. Place in preheated oven; bake for 35-45 minutes. Check after 35 minutes for doneness. Bake longer is needed.
3Let cool on wire rack in baking dish. Can turn cake out on serving dish. Very pretty. Serve with cool whip or ice cream. Store in refrigerator.
4*Variations: Can use other fruits with coordinating jello. Of course, I prefer strawberries.
