  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 2 c
    strawberries
  • 1
    angel food cake (13 oz)
  • mint leaves, optional

How To Make strawberry trifle delight

  • 1
Prepare pudding mix, adding milk according to package directions. Cover and chill while preparing the rest of the layers. You'll need 1 1/2 cups of pudding.
  • 2
For the whipped cream, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream of tartar. Beat with a wire whisk until soft peaks form.
  • 3
Clean strawberries and cut off the stems. Then slice them lengthwise.
  • 4
Cube the angel food cake and divide into 3 portions.
  • 5
In a trifle bowl, layer 1/3 of the angel food cake on the bottom of the dish.
  • 6
Carefully spread 1/3 of the whipped cream on top of the cake. Then top the whipped cream with 1/3 of the strawberries.
  • 7
Top the strawberries with 1/2 of the chilled pudding mixture.
  • 8
Then layer another 1/3 of the angel food cake and top with 1/3 of the whipped cream.
  • 9
On top of the whipped cream, spread the second half of the pudding. Then top with 1/3 of the strawberries.
  • 10
Add the last of the cake.
  • 11
Top that with the rest of the whipped cream and strawberries. You can add some mint leaves for garnish, if you wish.
