Another recipe that I got from my Mother in law, This cake is very moist, easy and very good. For my Grandson's birthday, he wanted strawberry shortcake, so instead of serving regular strawberry shortcake, I made this cake for him and he and the whole family loved it.Makes enough for a party and is sooooo yummy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 2-10 ounces pks,frozen, thawed strawberries
  • 1-3 ounce pkg strawberry jello
  • 1 package pillsbury plus white cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup light oil
  • 2 large 3ggs
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 1 large pkg kool whip

How To Make strawberry shortcut cake

  • Step 1
    Grease and flour 9x13 cake pan. Sprinkle marshmallows on the bottom of the pan. In a small bowl,combine thawed strawberries and dry jello . Mix thoroughly.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, blend cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until moistened. Beat 2 minutes on high speed. Pour batter over marshmallows in pan. Spoon strawberries on top of batter. Bake 35-40 minutes in a 350degree oven. Cool 15 minutes
  • Step 3
    Invert onto platter or tray.Wash and dry fresh strawberries, slice and arrange in a pretty fashion on top of the cake. Serve with Cool Whip or vanilla Ice cream
