This sheetcake is decadent and with Valentine's Day rapidly approaching, it makes a lovely dessert for that special occasion!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large container cool whip
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 12 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 cups water
  • 8 tablespoons strawberry jello
  • 1 quart frozen strawberries

How To Make strawberry sheetcake

  • Step 1
    This is made in three layers. The first layer: Mix the flour, butter, and pecans and press in a 9 x 13" pan. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly browned at 350 degrees. Let cool.
  • Step 2
    Second Layer: Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and Cool Whip. Spread over cooled crust. Third Layer: 2 C. sugar, cornstarch, water and strawberry jello. Boil until all of this thickens and looks clear. Add dash of salt and let cool. Add 1 quart frozen strawberries to this mixture; cool. Spread over 2nd layer. Top with large container of Cool Whip.
