This is different than strawberry short cake but its just as good. I use frozen strawberries in the winter but I use 1 quart of strawberries in the summer. I make this a lot of the time in the Holidays, especially at christmas.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 box
    cake mix, white
  • 2/3 c
    oil
  • 1/2 pkg
    frozen strawberries, mashed and add sugar to taste
  • 1 pkg
    gelatin, strawberry
  • 4 large
    eggs, beat five minutes
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • FILLING

  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 4 tsp
    butter
  • 1/2 pkg
    frozen strawberries, drain

How to Make Strawberry Roll

Step-by-Step

  1. Beat eggs then add all ingredients and mix til smooth. Pour into greased and flour cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes and when done turn out on a tea towel Sprinkled with powdered sugar. While still warm roll up and let cool completely. Unroll and spread with filling. Reroll and refrigerate. Bake at 350degrees.
  2. Filling---Combine powdered sugar, cream cheese, and butter. When combine , fold in the strawberries.
