FOR THE CAKE:
1 boxyellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
1 3/4 csweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
1 1/2 cevaporated milk (12 oz)
1/2 chalf and half, or whole milk
FOR THE TOPPING:
2 cwhipping cream
1 tspvanilla extract
2 cfresh strawberries, sliced
1 csweetened coconut, toasted
How to Make Strawberry Coconut Tres Leches Cake
- Prepare the yellow cake according to package directions in a 13-by-9-inch baking dish.
- When cake is slightly cool, poke holes evenly over the surface with a toothpick or skewer. Pour each of the three milks slowly over the top. Allow each to absorb into the cake. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- In a medium bowl, whip the cream using a mixer. Slowly add in the sugar and vanilla. Set aside.
