This is very easy to make. My younger son helped me make this for dessert tonight. Strawberry shortcake is my fave... and it's a good treat to start the summer with.

This is a cool and yummy take on strawberry shortcake. The two different puddings layered in a dish with vanilla wafers and strawberries is not only beautiful but is delicious on top of the pound cake. The cheesecake pudding makes this rich while the strawberry pudding just enhances the overall strawberry flavor. You could easily eat the pudding layer on its own. This would be a great dessert if serving a large crowd. Just slice up the pound cake, set out the strawberry sauce and pudding, then everyone can build their own.

Ingredients

2 boxes strawberry cream Jell-O pudding, 3.4 oz each
2 boxes cheesecake Jell-O pudding, 3.4 oz. each
2 cups fresh cut strawberries
1 box vanilla wafer cookies
1 - pound cake
1 package tub whipped topping, 16 oz.
1 package strawberry sauce

How To Make strawberry cheese shortcake

Step 1

Prepare the strawberry and cheesecake Jell-O pudding according to package directions. After mixing, put in the ice box. (I used 1/2 c less milk to mix pudding for each box to make it thicker... up to you)

Step 2

Wash and slice fresh strawberries. Set aside.
Step 3

Put a little over half a box cookies at the bottom of your dish.
Step 4

Add one of you puddings on top of cookies.
Step 5

Then add a layer of fresh slice strawberries.
Step 6

Repeat layers until all your ingredients are gone.
Step 7

Top with whipped cream and a few crushed vanilla wafers.
Step 8

Set into ice box for 2 hours before serve.
Step 9

Slice pound cake, spread sauce on a slice of pound cake.
Step 10

Add your layered pudding mix on top. It comes out like strawberry shortcake with cheese cake.
