This is my mother-in-law's signature cake. She makes it all the time and it's always good!

Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 1 box betty crocker white cake mix with pudding
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 - small box strawberry jello
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • FROSTING
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

How To Make strawberry cake

  • Step 1
    CAKE: Combine cake mix & dry jello. Add oil, eggs and milk. Stir in the strawberries, coconut & nuts. Bake in a greased bundt pan (floured) at 350 until brown and springs back to the touch.
  • Step 2
    FROSTING: Cream together butter and powdered sugar until light. Stir in berries, coconut and nuts. If too thick to spread, add a Tbsp of milk. If making as a layer cake, make 1-1/2 times the frosting recipe.
