  • 1 box
    18.25- ounce white cake mix
  • 15 oz
    bag frozen straberries, thawed and pureed
  • 4 large
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c

  • 1/4 c
    butter softened
  • 8 oz
    package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c
    pureed strawberries
  • 1/2 tsp
    strawberry liqueur
  • 4 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make Strawberry Cake


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease and flour 2 (9-inch) round cake pans.
    In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pureed strawberries, eggs, oil, and water. Beat on Med. speed for 2 min. Pour into prepared pans. Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Let cool in pans for 10 min. and remove to cool completely on wire racks.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese till creamy. Beat in 1/4 cup pureed strawberries and liqueur. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating till smooth. spread frosting between layers and on the top and sides of the cake. Garnish with sliced fresh strawberries, if desired.
