I don't remember where I got this recipe, and in fact, just found my hand-written copy of it while trying to organize my recipes after moving. This is a really good, moist strawberry cake. Definitely a keeper.

How to Make Strawberry Cake

  1. Grease a 9" x 11" cake pan. Pre-heat oven to 350°.
  2. In large bowl, mix cake mix, Jello, oil, milk, eggs and undrained strawberries. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  3. For frosting, make sure that strawberries are very well drained. Mix all ingredients; if frosting is too thick, add more mashed berries until the right consistency. Spread on completely cooled cake.
  4. Refrigerate leftover cake.
