strawberry cake
I don't remember where I got this recipe, and in fact, just found my hand-written copy of it while trying to organize my recipes after moving. This is a really good, moist strawberry cake. Definitely a keeper.

Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 small box strawberry jello
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 - eggs
- 1 cup mashed strawberries (do not drain)
- FROSTING:
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup mashed strawberries, drained
How To Make strawberry cake

Step 1Grease a 9" x 11" cake pan. Pre-heat oven to 350°.

Step 2In large bowl, mix cake mix, Jello, oil, milk, eggs and undrained strawberries. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Step 3For frosting, make sure that strawberries are very well drained. Mix all ingredients; if frosting is too thick, add more mashed berries until the right consistency. Spread on completely cooled cake.

Step 4Refrigerate leftover cake.
