1/2 boxfrozen strawberries (small carton)
1 boxwhite cake mix
1 pkgstrawberry jello
1 boxconfectioners' sugar
1/2 tspvanilla extract
1/2 boxremaining strawberries
How to Make Strawberry Cake
- Beat 4 egg whites until foamy and add cake mix, 1/2 box of strawberries with 1/2 of the liquid and the box of jello, the wesson oil and water. Mix together and pour into a 9 X 13 inch pan that has been sprayed and floured. Bake at 350 degree for 35 minutes or until the top springs back when touched. You can test with a toothpick. Stick one in the middle and if it comes out clean, it is done. Don't overcook as it will be dry.
- Icing: 1 box confectioners sugar
3/4 stick butter
1/2 bx frozen strawberries
1 t. vanilla
Add the liquid a little at a time so you won't get it too thin.
- I also make this recipe into cupcakes. Bake for about 15 minutes or until touching the top they spring back. Don't overcook as they will be dry.
