Ingredients

  • 1
    white cake mix
  • 1 pkg
    (3 oz.) strawberry gelatin
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    cold water
  • 1 pkg
    (5 oz.) mashed, frozen strawberries, thawed
  • WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING

  • 1 c
    cold milk
  • 1 pkg
    vanilla instant pudding ( 3 oz.)
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz. cool whip, thawed
  • STRAWBERRY FROSTING

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    strawberry liquid
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make Strawberry Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix cake mix, flour and gelatin. Add oil.
  2. Beat in eggs.
  3. Add water and strawberries. Mix well.
  4. Bake in a greased and floured 13 X 9 inch pan for 35-45 minutes in a 350 degree oven
    Can also be made as a layer cake in 2 9 inch layer cake pans for 28-33 minutes at 350 degrees.
  5. Whipped Cream Frosting:
    Pour milk into bowl and add pudding.
    Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes.
    Gently stir in Cool whip.
    Spread on cake at once.
  6. Strawberry Frosting
    Melt butter and add strawberry liquid.
    Mix in powdered sugar until spreading consistency.
