Ingredients

white cake mix
1 pkg
(3 oz.) strawberry gelatin
3 Tbsp
flour
1 c
oil
4
eggs
1/2 c
cold water
1 pkg
(5 oz.) mashed, frozen strawberries, thawed

WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING

1 c
cold milk
1 pkg
vanilla instant pudding ( 3 oz.)
1 pkg
8 oz. cool whip, thawed

STRAWBERRY FROSTING

2 Tbsp
butter
2-3 Tbsp
strawberry liquid
1 c
powdered sugar

How to Make Strawberry Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix cake mix, flour and gelatin. Add oil.
  • 2Beat in eggs.
  • 3Add water and strawberries. Mix well.
  • 4Bake in a greased and floured 13 X 9 inch pan for 35-45 minutes in a 350 degree oven
    Can also be made as a layer cake in 2 9 inch layer cake pans for 28-33 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • 5Whipped Cream Frosting:
    Pour milk into bowl and add pudding.
    Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes.
    Gently stir in Cool whip.
    Spread on cake at once.
  • 6Strawberry Frosting
    Melt butter and add strawberry liquid.
    Mix in powdered sugar until spreading consistency.
