Beautiful to look at and delicious. A great birthday cake! Frost with a whipped cream icing or a strawberry icing.

Ingredients

  • 1 - white cake mix
  • 1 package (3 oz.) strawberry gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 package (5 oz.) mashed, frozen strawberries, thawed
  • WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 package vanilla instant pudding ( 3 oz.)
  • 1 package 8 oz. cool whip, thawed
  • STRAWBERRY FROSTING
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons strawberry liquid
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

How To Make strawberry cake

  • Step 1
    Mix cake mix, flour and gelatin. Add oil.
  • Step 2
    Beat in eggs.
  • Step 3
    Add water and strawberries. Mix well.
  • Step 4
    Bake in a greased and floured 13 X 9 inch pan for 35-45 minutes in a 350 degree oven Can also be made as a layer cake in 2 9 inch layer cake pans for 28-33 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Step 5
    Whipped Cream Frosting: Pour milk into bowl and add pudding. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes. Gently stir in Cool whip. Spread on cake at once.
  • Step 6
    Strawberry Frosting Melt butter and add strawberry liquid. Mix in powdered sugar until spreading consistency.
