This is so refreshing and light. Great for a summer time dessert, too. However, we love this all year long.

Ingredients

  • 1 - large box of strawberry jello
  • 2 - cups boiling water
  • 2 - (10 oz.) bags of frozen strawberries, thawed
  • 1 - angel food cake torn into pieces (store bought)
  • 1 - (12 oz.) container of cool whip
  • - nuts (chopped for top) optional

How To Make strawberry angel food cake

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, dissolve the jello in boiling water.
  • Step 2
    Pour in the thawed strawberries.
  • Step 3
    Beat with a mixer until foamy.
  • Step 4
    Add the broken up angel food cake and fold until well mixed.
  • Step 5
    Pour into a 9x13 cake pan.
  • Step 6
    Cover and place in the fridge until well set.
  • Step 7
    Top with Cool Whip.
  • Step 8
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts. (optional)
  • Step 9
    Slice, serve and enjoy!
