This is so refreshing and light. Great for a summer time dessert, too. However, we love this all year long.

Ingredients

1 - large box of strawberry jello
2 - cups boiling water
2 - (10 oz.) bags of frozen strawberries, thawed
1 - angel food cake torn into pieces (store bought)
1 - (12 oz.) container of cool whip
- nuts (chopped for top) optional

How To Make strawberry angel food cake

Step 1

In a large bowl, dissolve the jello in boiling water.

Step 2

Pour in the thawed strawberries.
Step 3

Beat with a mixer until foamy.
Step 4

Add the broken up angel food cake and fold until well mixed.
Step 5

Pour into a 9x13 cake pan.
Step 6

Cover and place in the fridge until well set.
Step 7

Top with Cool Whip.
Step 8

Sprinkle with chopped nuts. (optional)
Step 9

Slice, serve and enjoy!
