Ingredients
- 1- 8 ounces package cream cheese
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Few drops blue & yellow food color to rich color green
- Garnish powder sugar
How To Make st patrick's day pound cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees, butter, and flour 10" tube pan. Special Note: make sure all ingredients are room temperature.

Step 2In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, add cream cheese and butter at medium speed until creamy. Add sugar; beat until fluff, 3 to 4 minutes, stopping to scrape sides of bowl.

Step 3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Then add the vanilla bean and extract.

Step 4In a separate bowl, add dry ingredients together, flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend together well. Now you are ready to add the dry ingredients to wet.

Step 5Gradually add flour mixture to wet batter alternating with heavy cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

Step 6Now add food color drops 3 of the blue and 3 of the green. Or if you can find green food color then add to achieve your color. I used Color Right by Wilton.

Step 7Mix batter well and spoon into prepared pan. Bake for about 1 hour 20 minutes, use cake tester or wooden toothpick and inserted near the center of the cake to make sure it comes out clean.

Step 8To prevent over brown top of the cake, cover the top of the cake with aluminum foil halfway through the baking time.

Step 9Once cake is done let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove from the pan, and let cool completely on your cake plate. Garnish with powder sugar if desired.
