Ingredients
- BROWNIES:
- 1 box chewy fudge brownie mix or homemade
- 1/3 cup pistachio nuts, shelled & chopped
- 12 - maraschino cherries, patted dry & chopped
- FROSTING:
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 sm box pistachio pudding
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 12 - maraschino cherries, patted dry & chopped (make sure they are dry)
- 2 drops - green food coloring
- GARNISH:
- 1/2 cup pistachio nuts, chopped
- - stemed maraschino cherries
How To Make spumoni brownies

Step 1Prepare brownie batter according to package (for cake-like brownies) & then add pistachios & cherries; mix well. Pour batter into 9" square pan. Bake 30 - 40 minutes. Cool completely.

Step 2On medium high speed, beat butter until fluffy. In medium bowl combine powdered sugar & dry pudding mix; mix well. Gradually beat in sugar/pudding mixture into butter. Add milk, almond extract & food coloring until fluffy. Fold in cherries. Spread over cooled brownies.

Step 3Sprinkle with chopped pistachios & stemmed cherries.
