I created this cake recipe by tweaking other recipes. The first time I made it, I sent it along with my husband to our church board meeting on a cool Fall Georgia evening. He said that everyone enjoyed & bragged on it.
Please know, this is NOT a very sweet cake. You may add 1/2 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar to the batter, if you prefer a sweeter cake.
