We always have bananas around-use them on cereal, smoothies in the summer, banana nut bread in the winter-this is a 'company-coming' version of the bread that's really delicious, and the cream-cheese frosting brings it over the top!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (3)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg & cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
How To Make spiced banana bars

Step 1Cream butter & sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas, and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, & pinch of salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Step 2Pour into greased 15 x 10 x 1 pan. Bake at 350* for 30 mins or until bars test done. Cool.

Step 3Frosting: Cream butter & sugar, gradually add confectioner's sugar & vanilla. Beat well, spread over bars.
