I found this recipe in my " Best Ever Fall Baking" by Betty Crocker..is very good..

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 - egg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - 8 ounces sour cream
  • 2 cups chopped and peeled braeburn apples
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped and toasted pecans, i toast mine in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir and micro for another 30 seconds

How To Make spiced apple coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 350 Grease a 9 inch pan with cooking spray
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, beat 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter with an electric mixer on med speed until creamy. Beat in egg.
  • Step 3
    In small bowl, mix 2 cups of flour, baking powder, allspice and salt with a whisk. On low speed, add flour to the butter mixture, beating just until blended; fold in sour cream and apples. Spread batter into pan.
  • Step 4
    In a small bowl, mix the remaining brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of flour. Stir in 6 tbsp of butter with fork until mixture looks like fine crumbs.Stir in pecans, sprinkle crumb topping over batter.
  • Step 5
    Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan on cooling rack for 1 hour. Serve slightly warm.
