Ingredients
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES.
- 1/2 cup butter or margerine
- 1 cup c&h golden brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 - eggs, unbeaten
- 1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk
- 1 cup chopped, cooked prunes, well-drained

Step 11) Combine butter and sugar thoroughly. Stir together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices. Mix alternately with buttermilk, stirring smooth after each addition. Stir in chopped prunes.

Step 2Spoon into cupcake pans, filling each 2/3 full. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until cakes test done. Cool and frost. Makes 24 cupcakes.
