- 1 can creamed corn
- 1 1/2 cups cake flour
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons dark molasses
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 - egg
- GLAZE
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon dark molasses
- - enough hot water to make a glaze

Step 1Place all cake ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat for 2 minutes.

Step 2Pour into a greased, circular cake pan.

Step 3Bake at 325F until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 4While allowing cake to cool, start glaze.

Step 5Put the ingredients in a 2 cup, Pyrex measuring cup. Add hot water a little at a time, until your desired thickness of glaze is achieved. Whisk well, until no clumps.

Step 6Pour over cake. Serve and enjoy!
