dark brown sugar
2 Tbsp
dark molasses
1 Tbsp
baking soda
1 pinch
sea salt
1 Tbsp
1 pinch
freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp
1 tsp
almond extract
1 Tbsp
orange zest
3 Tbsp


3/4 c
powdered sugar
1/2 tsp
orange extract
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
dark molasses
enough hot water to make a glaze

How to Make Spice Cream Corn Dessert Cake with Molasses Glaze


  • 1Place all cake ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat for 2 minutes.
  • 2Pour into a greased, circular cake pan.
  • 3Bake at 325F until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • 4While allowing cake to cool, start glaze.
  • 5Put the ingredients in a 2 cup, Pyrex measuring cup. Add hot water a little at a time, until your desired thickness of glaze is achieved. Whisk well, until no clumps.
  • 6Pour over cake. Serve and enjoy!
