sour cream coffee cake

Every once in a while a client will serve us a special treat while we are working on their project. This is one that is wonderful. Not fancy, but very tasty. I try to get the recipe if all the crew likes it. Thanks, Marge. Recipe from Marge Harmon.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- FILLING
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
How To Make sour cream coffee cake

Step 1Cream butter and 2 cups of sugar. Add and beat in one at a time the 4 eggs and vanilla.

Step 2In a separate bowl: Add sour cream and soda and beat for one minute.

Step 3Add creamed butter mixture together with the sour cream mixture. Add the flour and baking powder. Mix.

Step 4Filling: Combine till crumbly the nuts, cinnamon and brown sugar

Step 5Oven: 350 degrees Grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan or large baking dish. First: Add 1/2 the batter, then sprinkle 1/2 the filling. Add rest of batter, then sprinkle the rest of the filling on top. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes
