Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

How To Make sour cream chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 350. Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs; beat. Add baking soda, cocoa and salt; beat. Add sour cream and vanilla; beat. Slowly add flour until mixed, then beat for 3 minutes. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 pan.
  • Step 2
    Bake 35-40 minutes. Test with toothpick for doneness. Cool completely, then frost as desired.
