- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 large graham cracker pie crust
- SOUR CREAM TOPPING:
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar.

Step 2Beat the cream cheese; fold sugar mixture and cream cheese together.

Step 3Add egg yolks and vanilla. Spoon into crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Step 4Mix sour cream, sugar and vanilla well. Spread over hot cheesecake very carefully. Bake 5 minutes at 475 degrees. Cool on rack in oven, with door oven (important).
