The recipe is easy to cut in half and bake in a 8x8 pan.

1 1/2 c
1 / 2 c
butter, room temperature
ripe bananas mashed
1 / 2 c
sour cream
1 / 2 c
cold water
2 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda


2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
4 Tbsp
6 Tbsp
milk or cream
1 c
sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Sour Cream Banana Cake


  • 1Combine

    mix for 30 seconds
    then beat for 2 minutes

    put in a 9x13 pan

    Bake 350* for 35 - 40 minutes

    Let cake cool and frost

    (easy to cut recipe in 1/2 and make 8X8 size)
  • 2Frosting

    Bring to boil
    brown sugar,
    butter, milk or cream
    remove from heat

    add powdered sugar
    and vanilla

    Let frosting cool a little
    then pour over cake
  • 3I added some walnuts to the top it's so good with a big glass of cold milk.
