sour cream banana bars
This is my husbands favorite recipe--- for the frosting! So I usually double the frosting and he eats that on his toast!!!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cups mashed banana
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- BROWNED BUTTER FROSTING INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons milk
How To Make sour cream banana bars

Step 1Heat oven to 375 & grease and flour jelly roll pan (15x10). Mix sugar, sour cream, butter and eggs in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 1 minute

Step 2Beat in bananas and vanilla on lo speed 30 seconds. Then beat in flour, salt, and baking soda on med. speed, scraping bowl occasionally for 1 minute. Stir in nuts and spread in pan

Step 3Bake until light brown, 20-25 minutes. Cool. Frost with Browned Butter frosting (see recipe below) and cut into bars

Step 4Browned butter frosting: Heat 1/4 c butter over medium heat until delicate brown; remove from heat and mix in 2 c. powdered sugar. Beat in 1 tsp vanilla and 3 tbsp. milk until smooth and of spreading consistency
