I have baked this cake for several years. We have had this for a few of our family gatherings. Everyone enjoys this recipe.

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix with pudding
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1/3 c
    oil
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    water

How to Make Sock-It-to-Me Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Take 2 tablespoons of the cake mix and mix with the cinnamon, brown sugar, and pecans; set aside.
  2. In large bowl, blend cake mix, sour cream, oil, water, eggs, and sugar. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour 2/3 of batter into greased and floured bundt pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture in the center of this and spread remaining batter evenly over this.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Cool in pan for 25 minutes. Remove from pan.
  5. To make glaze: Blend powdered sugar and milk together to make a glaze. Drizzle over cake.
